Germany delivered ninth IRIS-T SLM fire unit to Ukraine
Shortly before the end of the year, Germany handed over another IRIS-T SLM fire unit with two additional integrated IRIS-T SLS launchers to Ukraine. According to information from the 223rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, which is deploying the fire unit in Ukraine, they have already intercepted nine Russian targets in its first few days of operation.
IRIS-T SLM: Germany delivers less than pledged this year
In April of this year, the German Ministry of Defence increased the number of IRIS-T SLM fire units promised for this year from three to four. It is now clear that this promise cannot be honoured and that, as originally promised in 2024, “only” three fire units will be delivered to Ukraine.
