NYT: US authorises delivery of various Bundeswehr ammunition to Ukraine
The New York Times reports, with reference to a US congressional source, that the USA has authorised the transfer of 125 long-range artillery rockets and 100 Patriot interceptors from Germany to Ukraine.
Only recently, at a meeting in Brussels, Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius announced that 30 Patriot missiles from Bundeswehr stocks would be made available to Ukraine at short notice. Whether these are part of the 100 Patriot interceptors reported by the New York Times is unclear.

The volunteer fire brigade in Delbrück donated sets of clothing, fire helmets, belts, shoes and more to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv. The latter announced the donation via Instagram.

Merz and Zelenskyy talked on the phone for the first time after Merz took office
Germany’s newly elected Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke on the phone today for the first time since Merz took office. This was announced by the Presidential Office of Ukraine on its website.
Among other things, both discussed prospects for further cooperation between Germany and Ukraine and agreed that teams on both sides would work on the implementation of specific proposals for a cooperation in various areas.
The University of Kassel supported a hospital in western Ukraine
The University of Kassel has donated a fully functional combined heat and power plant to a hospital in an unnamed town in western Ukraine. According to the University of Kassel, it is still fully operational and, with proper maintenance, can continue to reliably supply energy for many years. The currently ongoing transport to Ukraine is being financed by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, for Security and Homeland Defence.

NYT: Another Patriot fire unit from Germany?
According to a New York Times report in which four former and current US officials are being cited, talks are underway concerning the delivery of another Patriot fire unit from Bundeswehr stocks to Ukraine. The German government has not yet commented on the report.
Scholz and Zelenskyy talk on the phone
At the end of his term of office, the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke to the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the phone again this afternoon.
The Federal Press Office informs in a press release published minutes ago that Scholz emphasised, among other things, Zelenskyy’s leadership and the courage, bravery and determination of the Ukrainian President and the Ukrainian people against the Russian aggression.
