Germany delivered another IRIS-T SLM fire unit
Germany has delivered another IRIS-T SLM fire unit to Ukraine. As the 540th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade announced on its Facebook page, the unit recently received an IRIS-T SLM fire unit and intercepted seven Russian cruise missiles during its first deployment.
Additional €1.9 billion euros in military aid in prospect
As Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius announced yesterday during a surprise visit to Ukraine, the German government plans to provide Ukraine with a further €1.9 billion in military aid this year.
This would increase the military aid this year to a total of €8.9 billion. However, the additional funds still have to be approved by the Bundestag.
