With so-called MedEvac flights, the German Luftwaffe made a very important contribution to the transport of injured Ukrainian soldiers and civilians from Poland to Germany until June 2022. Since June 2022, Norway has taken over these flights for the Bundeswehr. The transported soldiers and civilians receive medical care in civilian and military hospitals in Germany.
The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance accepts these requests via the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and organises the transfer of patients to Germany.
Various sources could be used for this project. In order not to mix data and thus present a better overall picture, I only include data from the DG ECHO Daily Map regarding the UCPM MEDEVAC operations, which is published by the Emergency Response Coordination Centre of the EU.
