  11. Website „GAU“ goes live

    After a long and intensive period of work, I was finally able to launch my website. The design of the old version of the website was completely revised and modernised, and various in-depth technical changes were made to the basic structure.

    To be honest, the website could have gone live much earlier, but I was largely focussed on my editorial work, so the programming work kept getting delayed.

  12. Start of the full-scale Russian invasion

    On the 24th of February 2022, the Russian army carried out the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on the orders of Vladimir Putin and marched into Ukraine with brutal force from several sides. The Russian ruler had already gathered his troops on the border many months beforehand. Attempts to dissuade Putin from his plans failed.

  13. Russian soldiers appear in Crimea

    Although Crimea was not officially (illegally) annexed until March 2022, armed Russian soldiers without national insignia had already appeared in Crimea a month earlier. They formed the leading force and were part of a total of up to 30,000 Russian soldiers involved in the annexation of Crimea.
