Federal Ministry of Education and Research €16,230,000 Germany Enabling students to continue their studies at their home university with the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) programme "Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of war" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for 2022 and 2023.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €5,016,000 Germany Digitisation as well as further training of higher education administrations for increased German-Ukrainian higher education cooperation via the „Digitale Zukunft gemeinsam gestalten“ programme.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €4,000,000 Germany Various funding measures in the field of peace and conflict studies as well as Ukrainian studies for research and networking projects on the Russian war against Ukraine.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €4,000,000 Germany Creation of an energy think tank by and for Ukraine as a reliable basis for informed national decision-making, legislation and investment prioritisation in the areas of low-carbon energy, energy infrastructure, energy efficiency and industrial transformation through the Green Deal Ukraine project. The planned budget is around €4,000,000.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €2,300,000 Germany Offers to prepare refugees in Germany for university studies with the programmes of the German Academic Exchange Service „Integra“ and „Welcome“.

This includes study preparation, study-related support and funding offers. In addition, the „Profi“ programme is used for postgraduate and adaptation qualifications.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €1,900,000 Germany Support for Ukrainian researchers from Ukraine by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for their stay and continuation of their academic career.

This includes extending research stays, additional fellowships and supporting alumni in rebuilding research infrastructure in Ukraine.

Further €1,360,000 are planned for 2023.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €1,370,000 Germany Support of German higher education institutions in the digitalisation of existing offers for the preparation of prospective and current refugee students through a special call for proposals within the project "Digital Campus - Digitally Prepared to Study".
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €1,000,000 Germany Publication of the new announcement for funding research cooperation in the field of scientific and technological cooperation together with the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science on March 31, 2023.

Project start of the German-Ukrainian cooperation projects expected at the beginning of 2024.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €1,000,000 Germany The Max Planck Society has implemented a special fund to finance follow-up contracts for temporarily employed Ukrainian staff at the Max Planck Institutes, to provide accommodation for Ukrainian scientists and their families in guest houses of the Max Planck Society, as well as measures for psychological support and scholarships for the reception of further refugee guest and junior researchers from Ukraine.
Federal Ministry of Education and Research €970,000 Germany The German Research Foundation also offers funding opportunities for refugee researchers, for example within the framework of the Walter Benjamin Programme. Since 2022, funding of €970,000 has been granted for refugees from Ukraine.
