QFI delivers first batch of LINZA UAVs to Ukraine

The German-Ukrainian joint venture Quantum Frontline Industries has completed the production of the first batch of LINZA UAVs and is now beginning to deliver them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The production capacity is now set to be expanded in order to speed up deliveries over the course of the year.

Following the formal handover on the 13th of February 2026, the first batch of LINZA UAVs produced in Germany is now being delivered to Ukraine. The German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems announced this today in a press release.

The drones are manufactured by Quantum Frontline Industries. This is a joint venture between Quantum Systems and the Ukrainian defence contractor Frontline Industries, which was only established towards the end of last year as part of the Ukrainian “Build with Ukraine” initiative.

Quantum Systems provided the industrial infrastructure and production operations, while Frontline Robotics contributed the licensed designs of the drones, training, and full lifecycle support in line with NATO standards.

The plan is to manufacture up to 10,000 LINZA UAVs in Germany each year and then supply them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. True to the principle of “Designed in Ukraine” but “Made in Germany”. It is an undertaking that is unique in Germany to date.

It is not publicly known exactly how many drones are to be handed over to Ukraine. The only thing that is certain is that they are the latest generation of LINZA UAVs (3.0), the production of which was funded by the German government as part of its support for Ukraine.

Equipped with an AI-enabled navigation module and hardened against electronic countermeasures, this “bomber drone” – according to Quantum Systems – can now carry and drop explosives or other payloads weighing up to four kilograms over a distance of up to 15 kilometres.

Whilst production of the first batch has been completed and deliveries are now underway, QFI states that its next step will be to focus on expanding its production capacity and accelerating deliveries over the course of the year.
