The TRACKX is a tracked vehicle manufactured by Patria, which was first unveiled at DSEI 2025. The personnel carrier is characterised by particularly wide rubber tracks, a low centre of mass and a hydropneumatic suspension system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The design is specifically tailored for deployment in Arctic conditions, such as those found in Norway, Sweden and Finland. With an unladen weight of 12 tonnes and a capacity of 10+2 soldiers, the TRACKX is intended to eventually replace the now ageing M113 and MTLB personnel carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the 15th of June, at Eurosatory 2026, the Finnish Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate the mutual exchange of experience in preparation for a possible procurement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FMV also announced that five TRACKX vehicles will be procured as part of a pre-production run in order to evaluate the vehicle\u2019s characteristics and suitability for the needs of the Swedish Armed Forces. These findings are to be shared with the Finnish military.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patria\u2019s best-known product is probably the Patria 6×6 wheeled vehicle, which has been procured by several European countries as part of the CAVS programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These include Denmark, Latvia, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Germany’s Bundeswehr is also looking into the possibility of procuring the vehicle and has already ordered a pre-production batch. The personnel carrier is also in service in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
