{"id":3019,"date":"2024-01-03T21:47:59","date_gmt":"2024-01-03T20:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpressgau.4lima.de\/?p=3019"},"modified":"2025-03-21T22:42:39","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T21:42:39","slug":"bundeswehr-reprocures-dm51a3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deaidua.org\/news\/2024\/01\/03\/bundeswehr-reprocures-dm51a3\/","title":{"rendered":"Bundeswehr re-procures 100,000 DM51A3 hand grenades after delivery to Ukraine in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After the German government delivered 100,000 DM51A2 hand grenades from Bundeswehr stocks to Ukraine in the first half of 2022 to reinforce the defence campaign against the Russian army, these are now being re-procured in identical quantities with the newer DM51A3 version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A contract to this effect was awarded to Diehl Defence in Nonnweiler, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/ted.europa.eu\/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:4151-2024:TEXT:EN:HTML&amp;src=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">publication<\/a> on the European public procurement platform TED.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>100,000 DM51A3s were immediately ordered, while a further 198,370 hand grenades are part of a framework agreement and can therefore be optionally ordered in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While a price for the hand grenades was not disclosed, it was at least announced that the delivery is expected to be completed by the end of April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The price of a DM51 hand grenade in 1996 was 33.60 euros.
