Ukrainian schoolchildren in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are receiving substantial help. 3700 laptops are now on their way, so that children and teenagers whose schools were destroyed can take part in digital education as a replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3700 used but fully functional devices were collected in various tax offices throughout the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. A further approximately 700 laptops were also provided by the Ministry of Regional Identity, Local Government, Building and Digitalisation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the IT service provider of the federal state and statistical office and various companies based in the federal state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of the 3700 laptops, which fill a total of 20 pallets, is being organised by the German-Ukrainian association Blau-Gelbes Kreuz e.V.<\/a>, which has been supporting democratic development in Ukraine for almost ten years and has carried out regular humanitarian aid deliveries to Ukraine since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of Finance of the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia Dr. Marcus Optendrenk said about the latest relief transport, that he is glad that they are giving school children in Ukraine a bit of normality back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We remain firmly on the side of the Ukrainians [\u2026]. This applies in particular to the children and teenagers who have been robbed of their safety, freedom, and opportunities by the war. In the press release, it was already announced that further donations would be collected for deliveries in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As recently as October<\/a>, the German-Ukrainian association Blau-Gelbes Kreuz e.V. delivered 100 radiation measuring devices \u2014 so-called personal dosimeters \u2014 to the Ukrainian partner region of Dnipropetrovsk on behalf of the federal state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
